Share Your Smile
Happiness is only real when shared.
Can we share happiness only with donations ?
We took an oath to cherish the lives of these children not by money but by smiles and happiness.
Happiness is giving someone a moment of rejoice and profound love, so we danced, played, enjoyed, drew and cherished the moments with children.
What's The Current Situation ?
There are 18 million street children in India, the largest number of any country in the world, with 11 million being urban. Yes, that is the ongoing situation which in future is going to not be so better if not taking care of these children and taking things for granted.
Can a few moments of dancing change the situation?
Well, it might change the situation entirely but when we share a bit of our time with them, it makes them feel that they are welcomed in the society.
We need to make them feel that they are as important as anyone else in the society and sharing a few moments of happiness with them can change the situation by making them feel that they are also an important part of the future of this country.
Helping them explore
Along with giving them a smile, we also believe that different activities like dancing, drawing, cultural activities helps them explore what they are passionate about.
As NAYARA, is an association dedicated to youth and artists, we believe that their natural talent can one day make them stage firing performers.
So that’s why we danced, played, enjoyed, drew and cherished the moments with those children at Don Bosco Snehalaya, Ashadham Ashram and many other slum areas where basic amenities may be enough but the feelings of love and affection were lacking.
We organised competitions and brought gifts out of the funds.
And this was what we got from our experience of “share your smile”.
